This is a handy ball winder to help you wind your yarn!
The Hobbii ball winder is an amazing tool for winding yarn! When you use this type of ball winder, you get really nice, cake-shaped balls of yarn that’ll stand upright on their own. You can start your newly wound ball of yarn from the inside or outside, depending on your choice.
If you need to unravel your work, this ball winder is also a big help. Just attach your yarn end to the tool and crank the handle, and soon you’ll have a nice ball of yarn to start over with. This ball winder also works great with an umbrella yarn swift if you’re winding from a hank.
Directions:
Attach the device firmly to a table (no thicker than 5 cm/2”) by tightening the screw under the table. Work the yarn through the metal eye and tie a knot / make a loop at the end of the yarn. Attach the loop / yarn end to the notch on the cylinder, and VOILA – you can now wind your yarn faster than you can by hand.
Download a thorough guide on how to use the ball winder here! You’ll find the guide in Danish, English, and German.
